Privacy policy

Last updated 20 October 2026

This site asks for very little and is read by people who check. So rather than recite the categories a policy template offers, this one describes what the site actually does: one form, one cookie of our own, one third party that sees anything about you, and no advertising.

01Who we are

Kilgore Energy LLC is a power infrastructure developer registered in Arizona at 11111 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85254. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean that company.

Nerd Power is a registered trade name of the same company, used for its solar and energy services work. It is one legal entity operating two businesses, not a parent and a subsidiary. This matters here for one practical reason: the form on this site posts to an application hosted at app.nerdpower.us, which is our own system under our other name. Your enquiry is not being passed to another company at that point. Nerd Power’s own site is at nerdpower.us and publishes its own policy for what it collects there.

02What this policy covers

This policy covers this website, kilgoreenergy.com. It does not cover the data room or the progress portal, which are separate applications on their own subdomains, reached by invitation and governed by the agreement under which access was granted.

03What you give us

There is one way to submit information to us on this site: the enquiry form on the contact page. Nothing else on the site collects anything you type. The form asks for:

  • your first and last name, your email address and your organization, all required
  • your phone number, which is optional and may be left blank
  • which subject you are writing about, and your answers to the few questions that belong to that subject

Those answers are sent as free text, so what ends up in them is whatever you chose to write. We ask you not to put confidential terms, pricing or anything about a third party’s site into a web form. If a conversation needs that, it belongs under an agreement rather than here.

04What is collected without you typing it

Serving a web page involves your browser telling our host who and where it is. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes the ordinary request record that comes with that: your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser and operating system, and the page you arrived from. That is a byproduct of delivering the site, not a profile we build.

Cloudflare Turnstile runs on the enquiry form. It is the check that decides you are a person rather than a script, and it is the reason the form can be open to anyone without filling our inbox with machine traffic. Cloudflare receives your IP address and signals about your browser in order to make that decision. It is the one third party on this site that sees anything about you, and it only sees it on the page with the form. The form also carries a hidden field that a person never sees and a script tends to fill; its value is submitted with the rest, and it holds no information about you.

[ANALYTICS_AT_LAUNCH]

The two typefaces are downloaded from our own domain. They are Google fonts by origin, but they are fetched at build time and served from here, so loading a page does not tell Google that you did.

05Cookies

This site sets one cookie of its own, kilgore-theme. It records whether you chose the light or the dark theme, it lasts a year, and it is scoped so that the data room and the progress portal can read the same preference rather than asking you again. It holds the word light or dark and nothing else, it identifies nobody, and it is not sent to anyone outside this company.

Cloudflare may set a cookie of its own as part of the Turnstile check described above.

06What we do with it

We use what you send to reply to you, to work out whether there is something to talk about, and to carry on that conversation. If it leads somewhere, the same record becomes the start of the commercial file.

We do not sell it, rent it, or trade it. We do not use it to serve you advertising anywhere, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you wrote to us. If we ever start sending something you have to be sent, you will have asked for it first.

07Who else sees it

Your enquiry is handled inside this company. It is also handled by:

  • Vercel, which hosts the site and therefore processes the request records described above
  • Cloudflare, for the Turnstile check on the form

Beyond that, we disclose personal information only where we are obliged to: to professional advisers under a duty of confidence, to a counterparty’s advisers in a transaction where you are party to it, or where a law, a regulator or a court requires it. If this company is ever sold or reorganized, the records go with the business, and the commitments in this policy go with them.

08How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry for as long as the relationship it belongs to is live, and after that for [DATA_RETENTION_PERIOD]. Records that form part of a contract, or that we are required to retain for tax, accounting or regulatory reasons, are kept for as long as that obligation runs, which is usually longer.

09Your choices

Write to info@kilgoreenergy.com and ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, for a correction, or for it to be deleted. Tell us what you are asking for and we will tell you what we are able to do and by when.

Several states and countries give their residents a formal version of those rights, with deadlines attached. If you are in one of them, you have them. We would rather answer the question than argue about which statute you are writing under, so ask first and we will sort out the framework at our end.

You can refuse the theme cookie by clearing it in your browser; the site will simply follow your system setting instead. Turnstile cannot be refused and the form kept working, because it is what keeps the form open.

10Security

The site is served over HTTPS and the enquiry form posts over HTTPS. Access to the records behind it is limited to the people in this company who need them. No system is beyond reach, and we would rather say that than imply otherwise, which is also why the paragraph above asks you not to put confidential terms into a web form.

11Children

This site is addressed to businesses and institutions. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to the address above and we will remove it.

12Changes, and how to reach us

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change that affects what we collect or who sees it will be described rather than slipped in.

Questions about any of this go to info@kilgoreenergy.com, or to Kilgore Energy LLC, 11111 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85254.
